GluScout is a personal health monitoring tool intended for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with healthcare professionals regarding your diabetes management.
Information We Collect and Process
Data You Provide
- Nightscout Server URL: The web address of your personal Nightscout server
- Access Token: The authentication token required to access your Nightscout server
- App Settings: Your preferences for refresh intervals, appearance modes, and glucose units
Data Retrieved from Your Nightscout Server
- Glucose Readings: Blood glucose values, timestamps, and trend directions
- Device Information: Names of glucose monitoring devices (as stored in Nightscout)
- Historical Data: Previous glucose readings for trend analysis (up to 4 hours)
- Interactive Chart Data: 4-hour glucose trends with timestamp coordinates for visualization
- Chart Interaction Logs: User interactions with data points (stored locally for accessibility support)
Technical Information
- App Usage Data: Settings configurations and error logs (stored locally only)
- Language Preferences: Selected interface language (English/Polish) stored locally
- VoiceOver Integration: Chart navigation data and spoken descriptions (processed locally only)

How We Store Your Information
Local Storage Only
- All data remains on your Mac: GluScout stores everything locally using Apple's Core Data framework
- No cloud storage: We do not upload, sync, or store your data on any external servers
- Secure storage: Access tokens are protected using Apple's Keychain, the same technology used by Safari and other trusted applications
